By entering the Hathersage Hurtle you are agreeing to abide by these conditions and any other instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the Hathersage Hurtle.

Age limit:   All entrants must be at least 18 years of age.

Registration: Opens at 7:15am.

Start times: Walkers may start at any time between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. Runners have a mass start at 10:00am.

Cut-off time: 5:00pm for runners and walkers.

Emergency Contact: On entry you must provide an emergency contact (name and telephone number) that we can contact during the Hathersage Hurtle if there is a problem.

Timing chip: At registration we will provide you with a timing chip to record your time.  You agree to return the timing chip at the finish of the Hathersage Hurtle, even if you retire early.  If you fail to return the timing chip, we will be entitled to charge you for the replacement cost of the chip and an administration fee.

Cancellation by you: You may cancel your entry at any point until two months before the Hathersage Hurtle (i.e. 15 March 2020).  You will receive a refund of the entry fee minus Fabian 4’s administration charge of £3.00. Cancellation requests received after the two month cut-off are not eligible for a refund.

Deferral by you: You may defer your entry at any point until two weeks before the Hathersage Hurtle (i.e. 2 May 2020) at no cost to you.  After this date, requests to defer will not be considered.  Please contact the Hathersage Hurtle Team (not Fabian4) to request a deferral.

Transfers: We do not allow entries to be transferred.  If you are found to have transferred your entry or to have allowed another person to wear your race number, we reserve the right to exclude you (and the other person) from future participation in the Hathersage Hurtle.

Cancellation by us: We may cancel the Hathersage Hurtle if circumstances beyond our reasonable control arise.  In the event of our cancellation, you will receive a refund of the entry fee minus Fabian 4’s administration charge of £3.00.  We will have no responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of the cancellation including any travel or accommodation costs.

The course: The Hathersage Hurtle is a fixed route with eight checkpoints.  Anyone found to be taking short cuts between checkpoints will be disqualified.  The route crosses private land and you are requested to keep to footpaths and honour the Countryside Code.  Entrants are not permitted to run/walk with dogs.

Safety: Whilst we don’t have a minimum kit list, we reserve the right to refuse entry on the day to any entrants that we don’t believe are adequately equipped.

Every entrant is responsible for their own personal safety during the race, especially at road crossings!

If you need to drop out of the race, you must tell a marshal.  If you cannot contact a marshal, you must call the emergency contact number.
